Silverado Vineyards, Napa's prestigious
Diane Disney Miller and Ron Miller founded their winery in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley in 1981. Silverado Vineyards was one of the first wineries to plant Cabernet Sauvignon there, and went on to shape Napa history.
Its roots date back to the 1960s, when the couple saw the potential of this land and began planting grapes. Then, in 1976, at the Judgment of Paris , Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon beat out prestigious French wines, catapulting the region onto the world stage. The vineyard that supported this history is the origin of Silverado.
The winery is now owned by the Foley family and has been passed down to the next generation. With over 300 acres of vineyards spread across Napa's famous AVAs, including Yountville, Coombsville, and Soda Creek, the winery has established itself as one of Napa's top wineries by blending tradition and innovation.
Silverado Vineyards was one of the first wineries in the Stags Leap District to plant Cabernet Sauvignon, laying the foundation for Napa's establishment as a world-class wine region following the Judgment of Paris.
Now owned by the Foley family, it continues to evolve as an estate winery with some of Napa's most representative vineyards.
The wine is a blend of 96% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Semillon, with an alcohol content of 14.2% , made from grapes grown in Yountville, Napa Valley, and bottled with a natural cork .
