About Failla Winery
Faila Winery is based in Sonoma Coast and produces wines that specialize in cool climate grape varieties . Winemaker Ehren Jordan was selected as "Winemaker of the Year" by the San Francisco Chronicle in 2008 , and is also known as a former member and judge of "In Pursuit of Balance (IPOB)". The wines have an elegant taste reminiscent of Europe.
Faira's style is "as natural as possible ." Grapes are harvested early and new barrels are used to a minimum. Egg-shaped concrete tanks and stainless steel tanks are used for fermentation and aging to bring out complex flavors and pure fruit flavors. A very small amount of sulfite is added before bottling to stabilize the quality and maximize the wine's inherent potential.
This wine is made with 100% Pinot Noir grapes harvested from carefully selected vineyards in the Sonoma Coast AVA , and fermented with natural yeast . It is aged in French oak barrels (with minimal use of new barrels) to maximize the pure flavor of the fruit. Alcohol content is 13.8% . Please enjoy it lightly chilled at 14-16°C to bring out the gorgeous fruitiness and delicate acidity .
